What age ranges and ability levels do you work with?

At this time, I only work with adults who are looking to improve on their English skills. The sessions will be in English only, so you must know English on some level before we can start a session.

Are there in person sessions offered at this time?

At this time, all sessions are online only. This way no matter where you are in the world, we can work together.

Are there any topics that are off limits?

Religion, politics and conversations of a sexual nature are among the topics that are off limits. Neither will profanity or slurs of any kind be tolerated. If a session goes out of control due to not following this policy, the session will end early and you will be charged the full amount.

What is the length of a normal session?

Normal session time is between 45-60 minutes.

What is the cancellation/no show policy for a session?

A booked session can be cancelled up to 1 hour before the time it is scheduled for. Being more than 5 minutes late will count as a no show. Sessions that are a counted as a no show will be billed as if they took place. This policy is subject to a future review.

Do I need to have any special software installed before we start a session?

All sessions are done via Zoom. This way, you can use your phone, tablet or computer for your session. Since I will be hosting the sessions, you do not need to have a paid version of Zoom.

What experience do you have with public speaking?

I have been doing public speaking most of my life in groups that range from 10 people to over 1000 people. I have done so from a stage, while teaching at user conferences, while being interviewed, recording training videos, on Zoom and while providing telephone training.

Do you have experience in holding business meetings?

In the past, I have been involved with business management in the cell phone industry. As a result of this, I have been in numerous nationwide conference calls and have had face to face meetings with representatives from companies such as Samsung, LG, Motorola, Sprint, T-Mobile and Kyocera.

Do you only work with Korean/Korean American clients?

I do not limit myself to only Korean/Korean American clients. While I have had years of experience dealing with Korean people, I have also had a lot of experience dealing with people who speak Spanish and German. If you are an adult who is serious about improving your English speaking ability, I will consider working with you.

What is your philosophy on tutoring?

I do not believe in a one size fits all approach to learning. There are multiple levels that a person could be at, so it is best to see what level a person is at and game plan from there. I also feel that it is usually best to use one on one sessions instead of group sessions. This way, a person can feel more comfortable making mistakes since they will not be corrected in front of other people.
